MAUI, Hawaii — A weekend of wild weather wreaked havoc on the 2013 Hyundai Tournament of Champions, originally scheduled to start on Friday, January 4, with severe winds forcing cancellations of the attempted opening round twice, first on Friday and again on Sunday. In 72 hours, we’ve seen balls oscillating on the greens, falling off tees and otherwise wandering uncontrollably in the wind, with PGA Tour officials determining the conditions unplayable before anybody could make the turn on either day.

That said, the show must go in Maui and players are now set for a grueling 54-hole shootout that sends them out for 36 holes Monday and a closing 18 Tuesday. There’s no doubt the incentive remains for the field of 30, chasing a $5.7 million purse, $1.12 million to the winner, but it undoubtedly makes for a unique scheduling scenario for players committed to compete in this week’s Sony Open. This is especially true for TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Johnson Wagner, the defending Champion at the Sony Open, who will only have one day (Wednesday) to reacclimate with Waialae Country Club.

Keep your fingers crossed, golf fans, as we’re yet to have indications suggesting any alteration to today’s scheduled 36-hole action, to start at 12:10 p.m. EST. Below are the opening-round tee times for our TaylorMade guys. For today’s complete tee sheet, click here.
