Today we’re excited to introduce a new weekly feature on TaylorMade Tour Diaries we’re calling “Tune of the Week,” a unique visual graphic that will regularly showcase R1 driver settings straight from the bags of Tour pros competing around the world.

We’re leading off this new feature with PGA Tour veteran Justin Leonard, who’s tuned his R1 to a very neutral setting for the Sony Open in Hawaii. Driving accuracy is paramount at Waialae Country Club and Leonard is tackling the tee boxes in his first event of the new season with an R1 featuring 10 degrees of loft, a neutral face angle and neutral shot shape weights – 8 grams in the toe, 8 grams in the heel.

Although the R1 driver doesn’t hit stores until February 1, you can already make it YOUR1 and explore 168 different settings using our online tuning web application or by downloading our new “R1 Virtual” mobile application. To see how R1 Virtual brings our new driver to life like never before, watch the video below.
