#OneBucket Challenge Set to Launch RBladez at Pebble BeachFebruary 4, 2013
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — One bucket and you’ll know. That’s our promise at TaylorMade Golf to golfers everywhere with the new RocketBladez irons – hit one bucket of golf balls with RocketBladez and you’ll know the Speed Pocket is a game-changer for you, too. For the next month, TaylorMade is offering golfers a free bucket, on us, if you demo the RocketBladez irons at participating retailers and practice facilities. Additionally, we’re asking you, the golfer, what’s on your golf Bucket List?
During a month-long promotion, TaylorMade is also giving you a chance to cross something off your golf bucket list by entering to win a shot at some of the world’s greatest golf courses. Coincidentally, the PGA Tour is making its annual stop for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on some of the world’s finest courses this week, and TaylorMade is celebrating the launch of the RocketBladez irons in a special way.
As a part of our “One Bucket Challenge,” TaylorMade has partnered with the Monterey Peninsula Foundation for a hole-in-one #OneBucket challenge on the worldf-amous par-3, No. 17, at Pebble Beach. Any player who gets a hole-in-one on 17 Thursday, Friday or Saturday while wearing a #onebucket bucket hat will receive $50,000 toward a charity of their choice, while TaylorMade will donate an additional $50,000 to the Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
Additionally, every amateur in the field is receiving a new set of RocketBladez irons to use during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after being custom-fitted on the range in Monterey. Players are being encouraged to show their RocketBladez off with new yellow grips and we’ll be tracking the action all week from Pebble Beach with the hashtag #onebucket on twitter.
Finally, TaylorMade Tour Staff professional Dustin Johnson, a two-time past Champion at Pebble Beach, is the first player to win with RocketBladez Tour irons in 2013 (Hyundai Tournament of Champions) and looks to continue his momentum in the field this week. The distance iron is now on Tour. Stay tuned to Tour Diaries for more updates from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am throughout what promises to be an exciting launch week for RocketBladez irons.
