DORAL, Fla. — RocketBallz just got RocketBallz-IER, You’ve heard it from our TaylorMade Tour Staff professionals in new RocketBallz Stage 2 TV commercial, you’ve seen the new fairway wood in the winner’s circle and maybe you’ve already experienced what it means for yourself. This year we took RocketBallz – our longest fairway wood ever, as much as 17 yards longer for better players – and made it even longer. This week at Doral, host site of the WGC Cadillac Championship, we’re going to let our Tour pros show you what we mean when we say RocketBallz-IER.
You can be certain we’ll have plenty of fun with the elite group of TaylorMade Staffers from around the world who’ve earned their way into the field at Doral, but “IER” is more than a fun suffix. It’s a statement. A statement we hope to bring to life on one of the game’s biggest stages.
To help celebrate the official Tour launch of the RBZ Stage 2 fairway woods and Rescues, every TaylorMade pro competing in this week’s WGC Cadillac Championship will be using a new special edition staff bag featuring an “IER” panel – their names, plus IER – as well as wearing hats and visors with the hashtag #IER on the front of the hats. On Sunday, they will be paried with special edition RBZ Stage 2 apparel from adidas and Ashworth Golf to help bring to life the RocketBallz-IER campaign.
This week continues a string of PGA Tour launches for our new products, which began at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with our RocketBladez Tour irons and continued in Los Angeles with the R1 driver (“YOUR1″) at the Northern Trust Open. As you see in the photo above, Jason Day and Justin Rose are just two of the Tour Staffers who will be using special edition Staff bags, hats and apparel at the WGC. The list of players in the field also includes first-year PGA Tour Staffer David Lynn, coming off his first top-5 finish of the season at the Honda Classic, as well as Peter Hanson, Dustin Johnson, Marcus Fraser, Martin Kaymer, Stephen Gallacher, Jason Day and others.
Already our players are having fun with the RBZ Stage 2 “IER” gear, as DJ tweeted a photo of his locker on Monday morning from the Doral clubhouse. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the week from the WGC Cadillac Championship as we celebrate the official Tour launch of the RBZ Stage 2 product family.
