CARLSBAD, Calif. —  TaylorMade Tour Staff professional David Lynn fired an eight under-par 63 in the final round to rally from six shots back and win the European Tour’s Portugal Masters Sunday. The victory marked the journeyman Lynn’s second European Tour title, and first in nine years.

Outside the top-10 entering Sunday’s final round, Lynn began his chase from six-shots back on the leaderboard in what amounted to one of the more improbable Tour victories on any major professional Tour in 2013. Opening with two birdies, Lynn closed with three red numbers in his last five holes to record a winning total of 266 (-18).

Lynn’s triumph marks the third worldwide Tour victory for the SLDR driver, which debuted in July before quickly validating its position as the No. 1 driver on Tour.

Meanwhile, it was a dominant week in the States as the PGA Tour kicked off its restructured schedule for 2013-14 season at the Open. There, TaylorMade ranked as the No. 1 driver with 60 total in play, including 34 SLDR drivers.

After first debuting at the TOUR Championship, another product showing continued signs of Tour momentum and adoption at CordeValle was the new SLDR fairway wood. Available for its first full-field Tour event, a total of eight SLDR fairway woods went in play Thursday at the Open, including the bags of Brian Gay, Brian Harman and Rory Sabbatini.
